Payment Methods and Billing (Firstserv)

Firstserv offers a range of convenient payment options for your hosting and domain services. This guide explains the available methods, how automatic payments work, and what to expect.

Accepted Payment Methods

We currently accept the following payment types:

  • Credit or Debit Card

    • Cards can be securely saved to your account for automatic payments
  • PayPal

    • Available for manual payments on individual invoices
  • Bank Transfer

    • Available for manual payments
    • Please include your invoice number or account number as the payment reference to ensure prompt processing

For step-by-step instructions, please refer to our guide on how to pay an invoice.

Automatic Card Payments

If you have a valid credit or debit card saved to your account:

  • Payments will be automatically collected on the invoice due date
  • No action is required from you
  • Your services will continue uninterrupted once payment is successfully processed

When Are Invoices Issued?

Invoices are generated in advance so you have time to review them:

  • Monthly billing: 7 days before the due date
  • Annual or multi-year billing: 30 days before the due date

You can still choose to:

  • Pay earlier
  • Use a different payment method (e.g. PayPal or bank transfer)

Updating Your Payment Details

To add or update your saved card:

  • Visit the Payment Methods section in your Client Area
  • Follow the steps in our guide on updating payment card details

If an Automatic Payment Fails

If we are unable to charge your saved card:

  • You will receive a notification prompting you to resolve the issue
  • You can log in and manually settle the invoice at any time

Important timelines:

  • Hosting services may be suspended after 14 days of non-payment
  • Domain timelines may vary depending on the registry, so prompt payment is recommended

Key Points to Remember

  • Automatic payments are only available when you have a valid card saved
  • PayPal and bank transfers must be completed manually for each invoice
  • You can manually pay any invoice at any time, even if automatic payments are set up

If you need help with payments or billing, the Firstserv support team is always available to assist.
