Order Processing Times (Firstserv)

When you purchase a new service, upgrade an existing one, or register a domain, the time required for processing will vary depending on the type of order. This guide outlines what you can expect and what to do if your service hasn’t been delivered within the expected timeframe.


New Hosting Accounts (Cloud, Business & Reseller)

Once your order is completed, your hosting account is typically created automatically within a few minutes.

  • A welcome email containing your login details will be sent once setup is complete
  • In most cases, everything will be ready to use shortly after purchase

Hosting Upgrades

Same Platform Upgrades

Upgrades within the same hosting type (e.g. Cloud plan to another Cloud plan) are:

  • Instant
  • No downtime or disruption

Different Platform Upgrades

Upgrades between hosting types (e.g. Cloud → Business or Business → Reseller) require moving your account to a different platform.

  • A Firstserv technician will handle the migration
  • The upgrade will be scheduled at a time convenient to you
  • Our team will contact you with the next steps once your order is processed

VPS Services

  • VPS services are typically activated immediately after payment is received
  • If your order requires a manual review, our team will contact you to confirm the next steps before activation

Domain Registrations

  • Domain registrations are usually completed within seconds
  • If there is an issue during registration, our team will contact you with further instructions
  • If your domain does not appear in your Client Area after purchase, please contact support for assistance

Domain Transfers

Domain transfers involve coordination with your current registrar, so processing times can vary:

  • Can take anywhere from a few minutes to several days
  • Timing depends on external factors outside of Firstserv’s control

If Your Hosting or Welcome Email Hasn’t Arrived

You should normally receive your welcome email within 30 minutes of placing your order.

If not, possible reasons include:

  • The domain is already associated with an existing service on our system
  • Your order is being manually reviewed
  • Your payment is still processing (common with bank transfers)

If more than 30 minutes have passed and none of the above apply, please contact our support team for assistance.


Important Notes

  • Bank transfers may take 1–2 working days to clear, and services will only be activated once payment is received
  • Orders placed on hold for manual review will be followed up by our team with next steps
  • For faster setup, we recommend paying by card or PayPal
