Cancelling Your Hosting Plan (Firstserv)

If you no longer require your cPanel hosting with Firstserv, you can submit a cancellation request through your Firstserv Client Area. This guide outlines the process and what you should check before proceeding.


Before You Cancel

Before submitting your cancellation request, please ensure you have:

  • Downloaded or migrated any website files, emails, and databases you wish to keep
  • Taken a complete backup of your data

⚠️ Once your hosting is cancelled, all data will be permanently deleted and cannot be recovered unless a backup is available.

Important:
Cancelling your hosting plan does not cancel any domain names registered with Firstserv. Domains renew separately and must be cancelled independently if no longer required.


How to Cancel Your Hosting

  1. Log in to your Firstserv Client Area
  2. Navigate to Services → My Services
  3. Locate the hosting plan you wish to cancel
  4. Click the three-dot menu next to the service and select Manage Product
  5. Scroll to the Billing Information section
  6. Click Request Cancellation

Complete the Cancellation Request

You will be asked to:

  • Enter your Client Area password
  • Provide a reason for cancellation (feedback is appreciated)
  • Choose when the cancellation should take place:
    • Immediate – service ends shortly after submission
    • End of billing period – service remains active until renewal date
  1. Tick the confirmation checkbox
  2. Click Submit Cancellation Request

✅ You will receive an email confirmation once your request has been submitted.


If You Cannot Log In

If you are unable to access your Client Area:

  • Follow the 2FA recovery process or account access guidelines
  • Then return to submit your cancellation request

Changed Your Mind?

If you decide to keep your hosting after submitting a cancellation request:

  • Contact Firstserv support as soon as possible
  • If the cancellation has not yet been processed, it may be possible to stop it

Please note:

  • If the cancellation has already been completed, your data may have been deleted
  • We will attempt to restore from backups where possible, but some recent data may be lost

Important Notes

  • You will not see an on-screen confirmation—confirmation is sent via email
  • Immediate cancellations result in data being scheduled for deletion within hours
  • End-of-term cancellations allow continued access until your billing period ends
  • Domains are not cancelled automatically—these must be managed separately
