Finding and Using Your Server Hostname (Firstserv)
Your server hostname provides an alternative way to access your hosting services and can be particularly useful if your domain is not resolving correctly.
You can find your server hostname in your “Welcome to your new cPanel/Plesk account” email (often referred to as your welcome email), which is sent when you first purchase your hosting plan.
If you no longer have this email, our support team can resend it upon request.
What Can You Use the Server Hostname For?
The server hostname can be used to access your hosting services directly, including:
-
Webmail
http://serverhostname/webmail -
cPanel
http://serverhostname/cpanel -
Plesk
http://serverhostname/plesk -
Email Configuration
If you are unable to use a standard mail server address (e.g.mail.yourdomain.co.uk), you can configure your email client using your server hostname instead.
Finding Your Server’s IP Address
If you need to identify your server’s IP address, you can do so using tools such as PING. Please refer to our separate guide for step-by-step instructions on how to check this.
If you need help locating your server hostname or accessing your services, Firstserv support is always available to assist.
