Backups (Firstserv Hosting Plans)

All Firstserv hosting plans include automated backups to help protect your data and provide peace of mind. The table below outlines the backup frequency and number of available restore points for each plan.

How Our Backups Work

We use Veeam Backup as our internal backup system. This allows you to restore:

• Files and directories
• Databases
• Email accounts and messages
• DNS zones
• SSL certificates
• Full cPanel accounts

All backups are stored off-site, meaning they are housed in a separate location from your hosting server for added security and reliability.

Additional Backup Options

You can also create your own backups directly within cPanel, including:

• Full account backups
• File backups
• Database backups

We provide a separate guide explaining how to create and restore manual (ad-hoc) cPanel backups.

Important Backup Guidance

While we perform regular backups, we cannot guarantee that every change made between backup intervals will be captured. Therefore, we strongly recommend that you:

• Take regular backups of your website
• Create backups before, during, and after making changes
• Store backups off-site (separate from your hosting account)

Please note:

• Backup files should not be stored permanently within your hosting account
• We routinely remove stored backup files to maintain server performance
• Only live, development, or staging site data should remain in your hosting space
