Free Hosting for UK Registered Charities (Firstserv)

This guide explains what’s included, who qualifies, and how to apply.

What’s Available?

Eligible charities can choose one of the following:

✔ Free Hosting Plan

Our entry-level hosting plan is available at no cost and includes:

• Hosting for one website
• 10GB storage
• Unlimited bandwidth
• Email hosting (with mailbox limits depending on plan)
• Free SSL certificate
• Daily backups
• Access to hundreds of one-click applications, including WordPress

In return, we ask that you include a link back to the Firstserv website on your site.

✔ 50% Discount on Other Plans

If your organisation requires additional resources, you can receive 50% off any other Firstserv hosting plan, including:

• Business Hosting
• Reseller Hosting
• VPS solutions

Please note:

• The discount applies to hosting services only
• Additional licences (e.g. control panels or premium software) are not included

Who Is Eligible?

To qualify, your organisation must:

• Be a registered charity with a recognised regulatory body (e.g. Charity Commission for England and Wales or equivalent)
• Be set up by a director, trustee, or authorised representative of the charity (for verification purposes)

If your charity is registered outside England and Wales, or structured differently, you may still be eligible—our team will review your application.

How to Apply for Free Hosting

1. Visit the Firstserv hosting page and select the entry-level hosting plan

2. Complete the checkout process to create your account

3. Submit a support ticket via your Client Area with:

   • Your charity name
   • Charity registration number
   • Confirmation of your role within the organisation

4. Our team will verify your details

5. Once approved, your hosting plan will be converted to a free charity account

✅ Any identification information provided is used only for verification and securely removed afterwards.

How to Apply for a 50% Discount

1. Choose and order the hosting plan you require

2. At checkout, select Bank Transfer to avoid immediate payment

3. After your account is created, open a support ticket with:

   • Your charity details and registration number

4. Our team will verify your eligibility and apply the 50% discount to your plan

Not Sure If You Qualify?

You may still be eligible if your organisation is:

• A branch or subsidiary of a registered charity
• A community-based or charitable initiative

• The hosting account must be registered to a verified representative (e.g. trustee or director)
• Free and discounted plans require a link back to Firstserv on your website
