Updating Domain Nameservers (Firstserv Guide – BusyRacks DNS Manager)
This guide explains how to update the nameservers for your domain using the BusyRacks DNS Manager in the Firstserv Client Area.
⚠️ Your domain must be registered with Firstserv for these changes to take effect.
Step-by-Step Instructions
Step 1: Log in to the Client Area
- Go to the Firstserv Client Area
- Log in using your registered email address and password
Step 2: Navigate to Your Domains
- Click My Domains
- Locate the domain you want to manage
- Click the domain name or select Manage Domain
Step 3: Open Nameserver Settings
- Click on the Nameservers tab
Step 4: Enter Your Nameservers
Enter the nameservers you wish to use.
Example (Firstserv Nameservers)
ns1.firstserv.com
ns2.firstserv.com
✅ Alternatively, you can enter custom or third-party nameservers if required.
Step 5: Save Changes
- Click Change Nameservers to apply the update
DNS Propagation
- ⏱️ Changes can take up to 24 hours to fully propagate worldwide
- During this time, your website or email may briefly resolve inconsistently

- ✅ Ensure all required DNS records are configured if switching providers
- ⚠️ Incorrect nameservers may cause website or email downtime
