Updating Domain Nameservers (Firstserv Guide – BusyRacks DNS Manager)

This guide explains how to update the nameservers for your domain using the BusyRacks DNS Manager in the Firstserv Client Area.

⚠️ Your domain must be registered with Firstserv for these changes to take effect.


Step-by-Step Instructions

Step 1: Log in to the Client Area

  • Go to the Firstserv Client Area
  • Log in using your registered email address and password

Step 2: Navigate to Your Domains

  1. Click My Domains
  2. Locate the domain you want to manage
  3. Click the domain name or select Manage Domain

Step 3: Open Nameserver Settings

  • Click on the Nameservers tab

Step 4: Enter Your Nameservers

Enter the nameservers you wish to use.

Example (Firstserv Nameservers)

ns1.firstserv.com  
ns2.firstserv.com

✅ Alternatively, you can enter custom or third-party nameservers if required.


Step 5: Save Changes

  • Click Change Nameservers to apply the update

DNS Propagation

  • ⏱️ Changes can take up to 24 hours to fully propagate worldwide
  • During this time, your website or email may briefly resolve inconsistently

Important Notes

  • ✅ Use Firstserv nameservers to manage DNS via BusyRacks
  • ✅ Ensure all required DNS records are configured if switching providers
  • ⚠️ Incorrect nameservers may cause website or email downtime
