Website & Email Migration to Firstserv

Firstserv offers a free migration service to help move your websites and email accounts from your current provider with minimal disruption.

Some migrations can be completed automatically using our tools, while others may require manual assistance.

How to Request a Migration

• Log in to your Firstserv Client Area
• Open a support ticket to request your migration

✅ Our team will guide you through the process and handle the transfer wherever possible.

Shared Hosting (Cloud & Business Plans)

Migrating from cPanel Hosting

✅ What’s included:

• Full account migration using cPanel backup (cpMove)
• Websites, databases, and email accounts included
• Addon domains, subdomains, and aliases transferred
• Existing passwords remain unchanged

Important Notes

• Free migrations must be requested within 30 days of signup
• Your website must be working correctly on your current host before migration
• We will verify your site after transfer, but we do not fix pre-existing issues
• Multiple cPanel accounts cannot be merged into a single account

✅ You can manually reorganise sites after migration if needed (within your hosting limits)

Migrating from Non-cPanel Hosting

• ✅ First 3 websites migrated free of charge
• Additional sites: £10 + VAT per site

Email Migration

• Use the Firstserv mailbox sync tool (available in your Client Area)
• This allows you to migrate emails from your existing provider

Reseller Hosting

Migrating from cPanel/WHM

✅ Requirements:

• Full WHM access to your current reseller account

✅ What we do:

• Transfer your main cPanel account
• Restore additional accounts using cpMove backups

Migrating from Non-cPanel Hosts

• ✅ First website migrated free
• Additional sites: £10 + VAT per site

Email Migration

• Use the mailbox sync tool in your Client Area to migrate accounts

Managed WordPress Hosting

For WordPress sites on Firstserv managed hosting:

• ✅ Up to 3 migrations included per plan (free)
• Additional migrations: £10 + VAT per site

General Migration Guidelines

• ✅ Ensure your website is fully functional before migration
• ✅ Back up your data where possible
• ✅ Provide accurate login details for faster processing
• ✅ Allow time for DNS updates after migration
