Reissuing an SSL Certificate via cPanel (Firstserv Guide)
If you're experiencing SSL-related errors—even on supported devices—it may be necessary to reinstall (reissue) your SSL certificate to ensure the correct certificate is being used.
Before You Begin
- ✅ Ensure you can access your cPanel account
- ✅ Confirm the issue relates to SSL (e.g. browser warnings, certificate errors)
Step 1: Log in to cPanel
- Access your cPanel dashboard
- If you’re unsure how to log in, refer to your Firstserv access details or support documentation
Step 2: Open SSL/TLS Manager
- In cPanel, navigate to the Security section
- Click SSL/TLS
Step 3: Manage SSL Installations
- Click Manage SSL Sites
- Locate the domain experiencing SSL issues
Step 4: Reissue the Certificate
- Click Use Certificate for New Site next to the affected domain
- In the Domain dropdown, select the correct domain
- Click Install Certificate
✅ This will reinstall the SSL certificate for your domain.
Step 5: Verify
- Visit your website using
https:// - Confirm the SSL warning is resolved and the padlock icon is visible
