What is Imunify360?

Imunify360 is an advanced security solution deployed across Firstserv hosting servers. It uses machine learning and a multi-layered approach to protect your website from a wide range of threats, including:

• Malware infections
• Brute force attacks
• Suspicious or abnormal behaviour

✅ It provides real-time protection to help keep your website secure.

Do I Need to Run Malware Scans?

No – Scanning Is Automatic

With Imunify360, there’s no need to manually scan your files.

Why?

• Files are automatically scanned when:
  • They are uploaded
  • They are modified
• Imunify360 compares them against an evolving database of known threats
• Malicious files are detected and handled automatically

✅ Your website is continuously monitored and protected without manual intervention.

How to Access Imunify360

To access Imunify360:

1. Log in to cPanel
2. Navigate to the Security section
3. Click Imunify360

Viewing Detected Malware

To see flagged files:

1. Log in to cPanel
2. Open Imunify360 under the Security section
3. You’ll be shown a list of files identified as malicious

✅ This allows you to review and manage any detected threats.

Proactive Defence: What Is It?

Proactive Defence is a key feature of Imunify360 that protects PHP-based websites against unknown (zero-day) threats.

It works by:

• Monitoring script execution in real time
• Automatically blocking suspicious activity

Proactive Defence Modes

• Disabled

  • No protection (not recommended)

• Log Only

  • Logs suspicious activity but does not block it

• Kill Mode (Recommended)

  • Immediately stops malicious scripts when detected

✅ Kill Mode provides the highest level of protection and is enabled by default.

Managing Proactive Defence

How to Enable or Disable

1. Log in to cPanel
2. Go to Imunify360
3. Click Proactive Defence (top menu)
4. Choose your preferred mode:
   • Kill Mode (recommended)
   • Log Only
   • Disabled

Important

⚠️ We strongly recommend keeping Proactive Defence in Kill Mode.
Disabling or lowering protection may expose your site to security risks.
